Chemical engineer (and former senior technology executive) with 37 years of experience in polyolefin & elastomers technology development and commercialization ranging from laboratory discovery and concept shaping, through pilot plant validation and marketplace proof-of-concept screening, and finally manufacturing scale-up and broad-based commercial production. Extensive experience with process development, troubleshooting & optimization; product development and commercialization; Ziegler & Metallocene catalysis; R&D process management (in particular stage-gate methodologies); customer technical support delivery; development and deployment of knowledge-based-system tools; competitive intelligence; and intellectual property strategy and asset management.

Detailed knowledge and expertise related to all types of polyethylene products (homo and copolymer) and processes (high and low pressure; bulk, solution, slurry, and gas phase) and metallocene EPDM rubber (solution and gas phase) products and processes; broad working knowledge of (but no direct experience with) polypropylene process technology; working knowledge of certain synthetic elastomer technologies including polychloroprene, chlorinated polyethylene, chloro-sulfonated polyethylene, ethylene-alpha olefin plastomers, and fluorinated high temperature elastomers.
