Dr. Kokke has over 25 years diversified experience, both in academic environments and in the pharmaceutical and service industries. His past employers and activities include Jacobs Engineering, Zynaxis/Cauldron Process Chemistry/ChiRex Cauldron. At Wyeth (Andover, MA), Dr. Kokke was a member of a Jacobs validation team that had to validate a new and highly autionated biochemical (cell culture) plant. Cauldron was an outsourcing company that offered analytical services, process development and GMP manufacturing in its pilot plant. Dr. Kokke's job titles included Director, QA/QC and Radiation Safety Officer. He set up, staffed and managed an analytical lab.
Dr. Kokke was at SmithKline Beecham for over 7 years, where he set up and managed a radioanalytical lab and selected, purchased, and managed the departmental 400MHz NMR.
At Stanford University for 7 years, he managed Carl Djerassi's marine chemistry group (15 chemists working on isolation and structure determination of sterols from marine organisms).
