Biography:

Dr. Kemmerer has extensive leadership and senior executive experience over a 30-year career in the chemical and coatings industries. He currently has a business consulting practice focusing on clients in the chemical industry. He has worked with large, multinational companies as well as start-ups to develop road-to-market strategies for new technologies.

Dr. Kemmerer retired as President of UCB, Inc., the holding company for UCB's U.S. operations. In that capacity he served on several subsidiary boards and was Chairman, UCB de Mexico. As President of UCB Chemicals Corp. and Director Americas, he had responsibility for UCB's chemical businesses in the Americas. As Global Business Unit Director, UCB Radcure, he led a period of rapid growth and globalization of this specialty chemical business. International experience included a 2-year expat assignment with UCB in Belgium.

Early in his career, Dr. Kemmerer held a number of positions in technology, sales and marketing with Celanese Corp. and Radcure Specialties, Inc. Dr. Kemmerer has a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Tennessee, an M.S. in Environmental Engineering from Syracuse University, and a B.S. in Chemistry from Penn State. He serves on the Eberly College of Science Dean's advisory board at Penn State.
