QUALITY MANAGER AND ANALYTICAL CHEMIST:
William Golton has more than 36 years experience in analytical chemistry, quality management, analysis, testing, and quality control of pharmaceuticals, paints and polymers, laboratory administration and general administration. While with DuPont, he developed many test methods which are now ASTM standards, managed a large analytical and testing group, implemented one of the first LIMS systems in the company, and put together a $2 B department's first quality system. In the DuPont Merck Pharmaceutical Company, he managed a corporate project to develop a stability "best practice" and computerize all development and manufacturing laboratories via a standard LIMS. His assignments as a consultant vary from laboratory certification and setting up a quality system and QC testing for a small company, to expert witness to setting up an employee manual and benefit package for a non profit corporation.
Bill is editor of the ASTM book, "Analysis of Paints and related Materials", a cofounder and instructor in the ASTM course on "Compliance measurements for VOCs and HAPs in Paints and Other Products", and an instructor in the Center for Professional Advancement course, "Problem Solving in Analytical Chemistry." In his spare time, he founded the Chemical Consultants Network, the only organization for consultants in the American Chemical Society. He is also a vice president of a consulting firm, The Cecon Group, www.cecon.com
