MISSION STATEMENT
When electrical devices and electronic systems are the subject of civil litigation, criminal charges, patent disputes, or insurance claims (“forensic” matters), I support lawyers, judges, and adjusters with extensive technical knowledge and with scientific discipline to explore, examine, and explain the issues involved (“analysis” tasks).
SYNOPSIS OF QUALIFICATIONS
I have an extensive background in the physical sciences and mathematics: engineering and science degrees plus thirty years in the high-technology defense/aerospace industry. My forensic experience includes cases dealing with electric circuits, electric shock, lightning damage, radio transmitters, cellular and wireless technology, audio and video reproduction, surveillance systems, disputed recording tapes, industrial machinery controls, traffic radar and lidar, telephone circuitry, automotive electronics, radio interference, and other electrical and electronic equipment.
My expertise in electrical devices and electronic systems includes:
- thorough training in electrical engineering and the physical sciences,
- wide-ranging practice in the lab, in the field, and in the courtroom,
- ability to constructively investigate and illuminate the capabilities and limitations of equipment operating, or failing, in the physical world.
