Mark DeLuca, CCN webmaster

Abstract: What does your web page say about you? Obviously, your lifetime achievements are more significant than what can be included on a web page. But, when the people that already know you are not sending you the level of business you are looking for, it's time to use your web page help the world know who you are, what you have done, and what you might accomplish given the chance. Chemical industry professionals tend not to be prone toward self promotion. However if you want to be a successful chemical consultant, it is absolutely necessary to communicate what you can do for potential customers.

Biography: Mark DeLuca has been webmaster for the CCN since 1995. In that time hundreds of people have posted their information, some with more success than others. Ten years of observing what does and does not work for chemical consultants gives Mark a unique insight for this presentation.

Since getting his PE license in 1992, he has been an independent consultant doing projects through his own company, Del-engineering, as well as through agencies and other engineering firms. Since 1996 his focus has been on process engineering, process automation, and systems validation for the Pharmaceutical industry. Clients have included Merck, Bristol Myers Squibb, Wyeth, Eli Lilly, Shearing Plough, and Centocor.

In addition to his degree in chemical engineering from Polytechnic University of NY, Mark studied electrical engineering at NJIT and has a certificate in Project Management from Villanova. Mark holds a PE in PA, NJ, and DE.
