The 2005 CCN Survey & What We Learned About Chemical Consulting Marketing

Abstract: Dr. Halpern will present the results of the 2005 Chemical Consultants Network Survey for which a record 129 responses were submitted. This survey provides truly unique insight and data characterizing the annual revenue and rates charged by chemical consultants as well as effective marketing methods used by the chemical consultants in a variety of categories. The presentation will also include a discussion of marketing and pricing for chemical consultants and an example of how to establish a successful chemical consulting practice. The results will also be compared to the 1997 CCN survey.

Biography: Dr. Halpern is the founder and president of PTC Organics, Inc., the only company dedicated exclusively to developing and licensing high-performance low-cost processes for the manufacture of organic chemicals using Phase Transfer Catalysis. Dr. Halpern has provided PTC services at 195 industrial sites in the US, Europe and Asia and has helped chemical companies save > $150 million. Dr. Halpern authored several books including the best-selling PTC book "Phase-Transfer Catalysis: Fundamentals, Applications and Industrial Perspectives" and is editor of the journal "Industrial Phase-Transfer Catalysis". Dr. Halpern is the founder of PTC Communications Inc. which provides chemical marketing consulting, technical PTC training, has built a proprietary mailing list of 3200 qualified process chemistry prospects and generates passive income from a PTC technology website. Dr. Halpern is also co-founder of an environmental technology company, Value Recovery Inc.

Location: The Cynwyd Club, 332 Trevor Lane, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004. From City Line Ave. (Route # 1) drive north on Conshohocken State Road (Route # 23) about 3 long blocks. Continue north on Trevor Lane instead of following Route #23 left. At "Y" in road one block north on Trevor Lane turn left where clubhouse and parking are on the left side of the road. Fee, including food and beverages, is $25 provided reservations are made before 6 PM Friday, September 9th; $30 if made subsequently by 10 AM Monday, September 12th. If no reservation is made by the final deadline, food and beverages will not be available unless a cancellation occurs. No-shows will be invoiced.
