Dr Michael Bigwood and Mr. Donald Koestler

Abstract: Mike and Don will share ideas and concepts of ways to enhance your effectiveness as a consultant. Powerful examples will be presented. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your consulting/technical skills in an interactive exercise.

Biography: Dr.Mike Bigwood is a Ph. D. physical organic chemist with 8 years of industrial research, 5 years of research management and 10 years of technical consulting experience relating to the design and development of polymeric materials. Through this experience, Dr. Bigwood has learned how to control the chemistry and morphology of polymeric materials, and acquired an in-depth understanding of the way in which these parameters impact on their interaction with small organic molecules as well as large biological products such as peptides and proteins. He has applied this knowledge to the development of novel products and processes in water and waste water treatment, chromatography, bioprocessing, catalysis and solid phase synthesis.

Don Koestler is a chemical engineering graduate of Villanova University. He worked for the Rohm and Haas Co. for over 40 years before retiring in 1999. Since his retirement he has been an adjunct professor in Drexel University’s Master of Engineering Management program. He also the chairman of the CCN steering committee.

Location: The Cynwyd Club, 332 Trevor Lane, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004. From City Line Ave. (Route # 1) drive north on Conshohocken State Road (Route # 23) about 3 long blocks. Continue north on Trevor Lane instead of following Route #23 left. At “Y” in road one block north on Trevor Lane turn left where clubhouse and parking are on the left side of the road. Please park in lot if space is available; otherwise park on Trevor Lane. If lost, call the club at 610-667-4524.
