Abstract
Norbert (Nib) Aubuchon and Wendy Pannier of Aubuchon and Associates will present Tips to Boost Your Persuasion Power.
Regardless of whether you have an ongoing consulting business or are in the process of building one, a basic need is to sell your
ideas and proposals. To help you with this, Nib and Wendy will discuss the two key principles of communication, three methods of
motivating people, the five steps of the buying mind, and how to think in terms of the needs of clients and prospects. In addition,
they will cover six deadly mistakes that can sabotage persuasion efforts. You will come away with concrete ideas to enhance your
persuasion skills and help your business.
Biography:
Norbert Aubuchon: After a 34-year career with the DuPont Company, which included sales, advertising and new-product development and marketing. Norbert saw a need to help executives develop the ability to persuade and motivate others. The result was The Anatomy of Persuasion(Registered)seminar,
which more than 20,000 people have attended since 1983. His book, The Anatomy of Persuasion, based on the seminar, published by the American management Association in 1997, was rated one of the top 30 business books of the year by Soundview Executive Book Summaries.
Wendy Pannier: After a long career as a corporate communications expert, Wendy became a partner in Aubuchon and Associates in 1997. Her experience is as a writer , editor, trainer and business consultant. Her work has focused on enhancing the effectiveness of corporate publications and public relations, improving the writing skills of technical people, and moving ideas through organizations from conception to acceptance and profitable use. She has worked extensively in the financial and pharmaceutical industires, among others.
Meeting Location: The Cynwyd Club, 332 Trevor Lane, Bala Cynwyd, PA. 19004. From City Line Ave (Route #1) drive north west on Conshohocken State Road (Route #23) about 3 long blocks. Continue north on
Trevor Lane instead of following Route #23 left. At "Y" in road one block north on Trevor Lane, turn left where clubhouse and parking are on the left side of the road. Please park in lot if space is available; otherwise, park on Trevor Lane.
