| Abstract: Marc Halpern decided to launch his chemical consulting business after attending a CCN meeting in 1996. Marc uses a combination of seven marketing methods to grow his chemical consulting business. As a result of anti-spam laws, Marc was forced to upgrade his monthly E-newsletter. In the past two years Marc estimates that the impact of integrating the new “PTC Tip of the Month” with his other marketing methods has been in the range of $50,000 to $100,000 per year. In this talk, Marc will describe the simple mechanics, the low cost, the effective results and most importantly what he thinks he learned about designing his monthly E-newsletter to increase profit. |
| Biography: Dr. Marc Halpern is the founder and president of PTC Organics, Inc. He has provided phase transfer catalysis services at 238 industrial sites in the US, Europe and Asia. Dr. Halpern authored several books including the best-selling PTC book "Phase-Transfer Catalysis: Fundamentals, Applications and Industrial Perspectives" and is editor of the journal "Industrial Phase-Transfer Catalysis". Marc received his Ph.D. from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Prior to becoming a consultant, he was Director of R&D at Sybron Chemicals. |
| Location: The Cynwyd Club, 332 Trevor Lane, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004. From City Line Ave. (Route # 1) drive north on Conshohocken State Road (Route # 23) about 3 long blocks. Continue north on Trevor Lane instead of following Route #23 left. At “Y” in road one block north on Trevor Lane turn left where clubhouse and parking are on the left side of the road.
